Replacing the factory rubber bushings with bearings in your Upper control arms not only eliminates all of the deflection under load, but also frees up a significant amount of rotational resistance. This allows the suspension to react quicker and more consistently, while not contributing artificial spring rate, inherent in bonded rubber bushings.

Machined entirely from 4140 steel, with 4 bearings per arm, you get uncompromised strength, durabilty, and long lasting service from a true sealed bearing.

Why is the A3 Speed TRUEbearing Kit better than other bearing upgrade kits? The most common method for upgrading suspension bushings to bearings has typically been spherical bearings, due to their ability to articulate, relatively lower cost, and common availability.  The problem with spherical bearings is that they have much looser tolerances due to the nature of their design. They use a single ball, encapsulated in a race that is typically swaged around the ball, just tight enough for the ball to rotate. Spherical bearings are also exposed to the elements, so water and dirt can easily get into the bearing. With very little use, the ball becomes looser in the race and clearances grow. This excessive tolerance allows movement in the joint, resulting in excessive noise, especially noticed as rattles and clunks when the car travels over road irregularities. 

The TRUEbearing kits utilize two completely sealed ball bearings per joint, four per arm. This provides 5600 lbs. of dynamic radial load capacity per arm, with zero friction.
